Responsibilities
- Process claims related to accident lines efficiently and accurately.
- Communicate with clients as needed to ensure assignments are completed accurately and meet client needs.
- Analyze and assess special damages, including reserves, property/auto estimates, personal property inventories, and business interruptions.
- Negotiate and settle claims, including pre-litigation and litigation communication with lawyers and public experts.
- Evaluate insurance coverage issues on specific claims and provide recommendations to clients.
- Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by the manager/supervisor.
Training, Knowledge, and Experience Required
- Valid Authority claims adjuster license – category 5A.
- Minimum of 2 years of claims experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset.

Qualifications
- Knowledge of business and personal insurance related to property damage (home and auto) is an asset.
- Post-secondary education in a field related to insurance, with the intention to obtain a license from the Financial Markets Authority (AMF).
- Ability to conduct telephone surveys, evaluate, negotiate, and settle claims from policyholders and third parties in commercial insurance.
- Strong ability to maintain detailed and up-to-date records of activities, transactions, and reserves.
- Advanced IT skills, including proficiency with Office 365 and Windows 10.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong team spirit and a serious commitment to quality and customer service.
- Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset.
